Hooray for play! Our new Sparking Joy with Play in Hooray for play! Our new Sparking Joy with Play initiative continues to grow and impact the Living Water children at our sites around the world. These students at Eagle School Haiti just received the new play materials suggested by BOD member and Occupational Therapist Colleen Whiting Cameron. Before Colleen proposed and launched this program, many of the LWCF sites had little to no play materials, some not even a ball, just an open space as the only option for their play and recess time. We recently posted about an amazing young Living W We recently posted about an amazing young Living Water donor, Elyse, granddaughter of JoAnn McManus, who the JoAnn McManus Academy was named after. Elyse has been sending regular donations, continuing the legacy of her grandmother, to provide the children of JMA with supplies and equipment needed for the school. Today we are happy to report that thanks to Elyse's generosity, LWCF was able to provide the funds for a computer and printer for the school, which they just purchased this week! Access to technology has been one of our areas of focus in support for Living Water programs and sites. We are so grateful to have Elyse in the Living Water Family, carrying on the legacy of her grandmother, JoAnn McManus, by giving the students and teachers of JMA the gift of access to technology. Today we want to highlight and thank a very genero Today we want to highlight and thank a very generous and inspiring young woman who is an important member of the LWCF family. Elyse is the granddaughter of JoAnn McManus, pictured reading to Elyse as a baby in the second photo! JoAnn was a Massachusetts educator who provided curriculum support for JoAnn McManus Academy, a school in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, named after her. JoAnn is no longer with us, but we wish to celebrate and honor her today, on her birthday. Her memory lives on as her granddaughter, Elyse continues to support the school with recurring donations.  Elyse's generosity and kindness helps us to support the children of JMA, giving us the ability to provide the funds for educational supplies and technology equipment for the school. Elyse has told us, "I only want to share my grandmother's legacy and hard work, and keep helping these children in need." Thank you for being a part of our village Elyse, your grandmother would be so proud of you!  If you would like to join Elyse in supporting the JoAnn McManus Academy, please make a donation directly on the button in our bio. Living Water Children’s Fund is always open to new projects that have a direct, measurable impact on the well being and/or academic education of needy children. LWCF focuses on projects that are in regions or countries that have limited access to funding resources or where funding resources are insufficient to meet the needs of children.
